The government of Egypt adopted a plan to strengthen the ties with the Egyptian expatriates through continuous communication and integration in the developmental plans in Egypt, promoting attractive business opportunities in Egypt and streamlining investment procedures.
In January 2020, the General Authority for investment and Free zones (GAFI) has signed a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of State for Immigration and Expatriate Affairs to launch a dedicated business unit for Egyptian investors abroad affiliated to the Chief Executive Director of GAFI, which is now known as GAFI's Egyptian Expatriates Investment Unit (EEIU).
The EEIU's primary objective is to encourage economic engagement with the Egyptians abroad, EEIU team is fully dedicated to ensure continuous support to ease the expatriates'investment journey and provide a smooth process at every step.
Mission:
The EEIU is committed to promoting investment opportunities to the Egyptian investors abroad by introducing a favorable business environment, providing essential information and streamlining the investment procedures.
Services offered:
- Guiding the expatriates to identify the convenient business opportunity and Supporting the decision making process.
- Providing various investment services through Investors service Center.
- Acting as a liaison between the Egyptian expatriates and other business stakeholders.
