Algerian Prime Minister receives his Egyptian Counterpart at Houari Boumediene International Airport

​Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Egypt's Prime Minister, accompanied by a high-ranking ministerial delegation, arrived at Houari Boumediene International Airport in the Algerian capital to start of their visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. The purpose of the visit is to represent Egypt in the Eighth Session of Algeria-Egypt Joint Higher Committee. In an official reception ceremony graced by a guard of honor, the Egyptian Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation were received at the airport by H.E Ayman Ben Abdelrahman, Algeria's Prime Minister, a number of Algerian ministers, and Dr. Mokhtar Warida, Egypt's Ambassador to Algeria. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly expressed his happiness to be in Algeria as the head of Egypt's delegation in the meetings of the Eighth Round of Algeria-Egypt Joint Higher Committee, aimed at enhancing areas of cooperation between the two brotherly countries. On his part, Algeria's Prime Minister welcomed his counterpart stressing Algeria's pride in the strong relations with Egypt, and its keenness to enhance areas of cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries. The delegation accompanying the Egyptian PM consisted of Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy; Engineer Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources; Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and acting Minister of Health; Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation; Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities; Ms. Nevin Jameh, Minister of Trade and Industry; and Counselor Mohamed Abdel Wahab, GAFI CEO. The two-day visit will comprise meetings to be held with senior Algerian officials and a number of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) to be singed between the two sides in several areas aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Algeria. It will also include the Egyptian-Algerian Business Forum, which will be held for the purpose of reviewing the investment and trade opportunities available in Algeria and Egypt.
