GAFI CEO participates in the activities of the WIF in Dubai and discusses the implementation of new investments in Egypt with a number of Emirati companies

Counselor Mohamed Abdel Wahab, the CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), participated in the activities of the World Investment Forum (WIF)in its twenty-fifth session, organized by the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), with the participation of the UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, the President of WAIPA, and Secretary General of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).On the sidelines of the visit, Counselor Abdel Wahab met the regional director of the Emirati "Corodex" group to discuss the implementation of new projects in Egypt, where the group is concerned with the production of water purification and wastewater treatment equipment. During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to provide the necessary support to the group, including the facilities provided by GAFI, as well as reviewing the most important investment opportunities of interest to the Emirati group. Counselor Abdel Wahab also reviewed the most important incentives offered to investors interested in implementing new investments in Egypt, and the role of such incentives in creating an attractive investment environment in Egypt, stressing GAFI’s keenness on making Egypt a major center for exporting the company's products abroad, especially to the African market.Moreover, GAFI CEO held a meeting with the representatives of Mediclinic Middle East to discuss the company's plan to invest in Egypt by establishing a number of hospitals, especially in new cities, in light of the successful visits organized by GAFI for the company
to learn about the Egyptian market.
