​Dr. Amr Abou El-Fotouh, Director General of the Foreign Direct Investment Department at the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), won the best director general at the 3rd edition of Egypt Government Excellence Award. By winning such Award, GAFI maintains its permanent presence within the various categories of the Award for the 3rd year in a row. Moreover, Dr. Iman Mansour, the Head of the Policies Sector, and Dr. Mohamed Fayez, Director General of Knowledge Support and Translation Department at GAFI, were awarded two certificates of appreciation for their efforts in improving GAFI's government performance.
Ministry of Planning and Economic Development announced the names of the winners of the 3rd edition of Egypt Government Excellence Award during the ceremony held by the Ministry under the auspices of the President of the Republic H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly; Minister Planning and Economic Development Dr. Hala El-Said; and Minister of State and the Secretary General of the United Arab Emirates Ms. Maryam Al-Hammadi.
GAFI won three awards in the 2nd edition of Egypt Government Excellence Award in the categories of “Employee of the year Award” and “Teamwork Award”, and Fekretak Sherkatk was awarded the “Innovation and Creativity Award”. In the 1st edition, GAFI won the “Award for Excellence in Providing Smart Services” for Egypt’s investment map.
Mr. Hossam Heiba, GAFI CEO, confirmed that winning Egypt Government Excellence Awards reflects GAFI’s commitment to efficiency standards and the continuous development of the capabilities of the human element aiming to provide the best possible services to investors, and support the state's efforts to attract investment and achieve development.
