GAFI CEO Follows Up on the Development of GAFI’s New E-Portal

Dr. Mohamed Awad, GAFI CEO:
- This is a comprehensive e-portal bringing together all of GAFI’s services and digital platforms in one place to enhance the investor experience.
- The e-portal features a multilingual, AI-powered chatbot operating around the clock to support investors and answer their inquiries.

In implementation of the directives of Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade (MIFT Minister), to keep developing the services provided to investors, advance digital transformation, and raise the quality of government services in ways that improve the investment climate and boost Egypt's competitiveness as an attractive investment destination, Dr. Mohamed Awad, the Chief Executive Officer of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI CEO), held a meeting with the team responsible for GAFI's new e-portal, in the presence of Mr. Yasser Abbas, GAFI Deputy CEO, and Dr. Eman Mansour, GAFI Deputy CEO, to review the updated version of the e-portal following the completion of final revisions and to assess its readiness for launch.
The team reviewed the key developments made to the e-portal, which has been designed as a unified digital platform giving investors easy access to investment information and services designed to simplify the investor journey and streamline access to services and investment data.
The team also gave a presentation on the multilingual AI chatbot, which operates around the clock to provide instant support and answer investor inquiries related to company formation, procedures, incentives, investment facilitation, land allocation, and other services offered by GAFI. The presentation highlighted the chatbot's ability to provide quick access to information and enhance the user experience.
Dr. Awad affirmed that the development of the e-portal is part of GAFI's plan to modernize its digital services system and deliver a more efficient, user-friendly experience for investors, noting that the new e-portal brings together, on a single website, all of GAFI’s services and platforms — including electronic services, investor service centers, free zones, investment zones, the Golden License, entrepreneurship and startup support services, and the Investor Care Unit — giving investors access to a full range of services through one integrated portal.
The meeting also covered a review of the e-portal’s navigation mechanisms and user experience, the integration of various digital platforms and services, as well as a review of content and ongoing update mechanisms — ensuring that local and foreign investors are provided with accurate, up-to-date information.
At the close of the meeting, GAFI CEO directed the team to swiftly address all technical and operational feedback ahead of the launch of the new e-portal in the coming period, affirming that the portal represents a qualitative leap in GAFI's digital services system and will help make it easier for investors to access services and investment information, supporting GAFI's efforts to deliver faster and more efficient services and strengthen the competitiveness of Egypt's investment climate.
