Honoring GAFI Staff who succeeded in Recovering USD 14 Million As Mr. Hossam Heiba, Chief Executive Officer of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI CEO) instructed his deputies to coordinate with GAFI Labor Union the process of honoring outstanding employees, GAFI honored the members of the inspection committee, who were able to recover USD 14 million of GAFI's dues. They did so through obtaining a court ruling against a company operating in the oil sector that failed to pay GAFI's dues. Major General Yasser Abbas, GAFI Deputy CEO for Investor Service and Free Zones, stressed GAFI's commitment to provide all incentives and guarantees to investors, provided they commit to the State's development goals. These include creating job opportunities, providing goods, supporting growth, and increasing the State's revenues. Dr. Dalia Al-Hawari, GAFI Deputy CEO for Institutional Development, said that the honored members were able to implement GAFI's vision that is facilitating procedures and providing a more favorable business environment without violating the legal and procedural system governing investment and without wasting the State's rights. On behalf of Mr. Heiba, Major Abbas and Dr. Al-Hawari honored the members of the committee: Ms. Umniah Hamed, Head of a Central Department. They also honored Ms. Ghada Nabih, Mr. Khaled Al-Sherbiny, and Mr. Mohamed Bassem who are Directors General. Ms. Reda Othman, Researcher at GAFI was among the honored members. Dr. Mohamed Salem, GAFI Union President, and Mr. Hossam Kamal, Head of a Central Department within the Economic Performance Sector also attended the ceremony.
