Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, issued Decree No. 2345 of 2026 appointing Counselor Ahmed Mohamed Taher Sheta and Mr. Walid Anwar as Deputies to the CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI).
Counselor Sheta holds a Master's degree in Public Law, as well as a postgraduate diploma in Economics and Public Finance, in addition to a postgraduate diploma in Public Law. Prior to his appointment, he served as an Assistant to the Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority.
Mr. Walid Anwar holds an MBA from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom and an MBA from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Law. Prior to his appointment, he served as an Assistant to the Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority.
