Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, met today Mr. Hossam Heiba, GAFI CEO, at the Council of Ministers Headquarter in the New City of El Alamein, to follow up number of work files.
During the meeting, GAFI CEO reviewed developments in granting the Golden License to the applying projects, and the files that are currently being studied, indicating the interest of a number of investors to apply for the Golden License. He also reviewed the progress of the companies that obtained the Golden License, indicating that there are working groups that follow-up tasks until the commencement of these projects.
Furthermore, Mr. Hossam Heiba presented the efforts exerted by GAFI to attract investments, as well as the meetings he held with a number of investors and representatives of international companies to promote the investment opportunities available in various sectors.
GAFI CEO touched upon the outcome of his visit to Germany, during which he discussed the investment opportunities and potentials available in Egypt. Moreover, he referred to his meetings with the confederation of business associations, pointing out that the German side is interested in transferring a number of industries to Egypt, in the light of the recently approved incentives.
In the meeting, GAFI’s vision on the establishment of three new free zones in Alexandria, 10th of Ramadan, and 6th of October City was also discussed and reviewed, especially since there are several requests from investors in this regard.
